I have a question:
Is there a way to make this work with CE LF2 or XLF-Omega? I rly prefer CE instead of Original LF2. And I want to play with my friends. Since this server rly reduces our lag. Dunno why but it does.
If there isnt, is there a way to play with more than 2 pcs with other lf2 versions?
thanks in advance. |

Hey Theopt
What are these versions CE LF2 and XLF-Omega? These versions can be found in our downloads section?
If not, I will be very glad if you can post a download link to them, maybe we can add them to the site.
Anyway, lf2 multiserver should work theoretically for every lf2 version that based on LF2 2.0, as long as all the players use the same version.
I didn't try other versions so i can't say it will work for usre, but you can try and see.
But if these versions based on LF2 1.9, it will not work.
In this case you can try to put the exe of LF2 2.0 in the folder of CE LF2 for example and use it instead, and then maybe you will be able to use lf2 multiserver.
Good luck |

Yes you can download them in this forum as well. XLF-Omega is the largest LF2 version (around 800mb unpacked) and CE (its combined effort release. its similar to LF2 original but with more attacks).
I tryed the multiserver with both versions, ppl get in. they load, but in the end of the load we get all disconected |

evil versions try to put in the folder of one of the versions the lf2.exe of LF2 2.0.
if you can play with it, tell your friends to do so too and try to play with lf2 multiserver.
I think that like that it should work... |

| do i need hamachi for this ? |
if you open the port of lf2 in your router, no.
if not, you and all the players who want to connect to you have to join hamachi. |

Does it support LF2 v2.0a?
It can run corrently on Windows Xp.
But I find it does not work correctly on my computer(OS is Windows 7).
I run this server, then launch LF2, type 127.0.0.1 to connect the server. BUT other player cann't connect into my server.
Does it not support win7?
Have any solution? |

LF2 Multi Server isn't supposed to have problems with Windows 7, and it supports LF2 v2.0a.
It seems like other players can't connect to you, probably because you are using a router.
In this case you can open the port 12345 on your router for connections, or you can just use Hamachi, and then it supposes to work.
If players can connect to you when you use LF2 normally, and they can't connect to you when you run the multiserver, so it is very weird and I will have to check it.
Let me know if you succeeded to overcome the problem |

I tried doing that on the XLF-Omega but it didn't worked :/ (it crashes while loading some data stuff, don't know why...). Couldn't you make a version that could work with it(i think it uses the 1.9 lf2 version)? This is the best mod of lf2 that I ever played, but can't play with my 3 friends on multiplayer is sad |
